AgriHires finds and screens contract, temporary and seasonal staff for agri and food companies, for a season, a launch, a plant ramp-up or a project. The people are engaged on your own fixed-term contracts or through your payroll contractor; AgriHires does not run payroll. We replace people who leave, on terms agreed before the drive.

What the labour codes say, in short.
- The Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 now holds the contract labour rules. They apply to every establishment where 50 or more contract workers were employed on any day of the preceding 12 months (Section 45).
- Every contractor employing 50 or more contract workers must obtain a licence, valid for 5 years (Sections 47 and 48). A contractor working in several States can get a licence from the authority the Central Government notifies (Section 47).
- The principal employer provides the welfare facilities the Code prescribes, and pays the contract workers if the contractor fails to pay wages on time or pays short (Sections 53 and 55).
- Under the Code on Social Security, 2020, EPF applies to establishments employing 20 or more employees, with the employer contributing 10% of wages (Sections 15 and 16); ESI applies to establishments employing 10 or more persons, except seasonal factories (First Schedule).

- What is contract staffing?
- Contract staffing means people who work at your site or in your territory for a fixed period. AgriHires finds and screens them; they are engaged on your fixed-term contracts or through your payroll contractor. AgriHires does not run payroll. It suits seasons, launches, ramp-ups and projects.
- What is the difference between temporary, contingent and contract staffing?
- They are used for the same idea: people engaged for a limited period or a defined piece of work rather than as permanent employees. The words differ by company; what matters is who employs the person and for how long.
- Who pays PF and ESI for contract staff?
- Under the Code on Social Security, 2020, EPF applies to establishments employing 20 or more employees and ESI to establishments employing 10 or more persons (except seasonal factories). Whoever employs the contract workers (your company or your payroll contractor) registers and pays for them. General information, not legal advice.
- Do contract labour rules apply to my company?
- Under the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020, the contract labour provisions apply to establishments where 50 or more contract workers were employed on any day of the preceding 12 months, and a contractor employing 50 or more contract workers needs a licence. Check your own case with your adviser; this is general information, not legal advice.
- How much does contract staffing cost?
- It depends on the roles, the headcount, the pay, the locations and the length of the contract. Send your requirement and we reply within 1 working day with a plan, a timeline and a quote.
- Can contract staff become permanent later?
- Often, yes. Tell us at the start if you may want to absorb good people onto your payroll later, and we agree the terms with you before the drive starts.
- How fast can you deploy a seasonal team?
- Tell us the roles, districts and the date the season work starts. We reply within 1 working day with a timeline, and run the drive in batches by district so people are in place before the work begins.
Tell us who you need. Plan and quote in 1 working day.
Roles, headcount, locations and start date are enough to begin. Dev Kumar or the AgriHires team replies within 1 working day with a plan, a timeline and a quote.
