Questions

Starting in food processing, answered.

Which jobs can a food technology fresher get?
Most freshers start as production trainees, QC chemists or quality executives, food technologist trainees in R&D, or raw-material executives. Frozen food, snack, dairy, bakery, spice and beverage plants hire freshers in batches, often from March to July.
What is the starting salary for a B.Tech Food Technology fresher?
AmbitionBox (about 1,500 food technologist salaries, October 2026) puts the first year at about ₹2.6 to 2.9 lakh a year. Large brands and export plants pay more; plants in small towns often add free stay or a canteen.
Do food plants hire freshers without experience?
Yes. Plants take freshers as trainees for one year in production, QC or R&D, then confirm them as executives. Shift work and a plant location outside the city are normal for the first years.
What should a food technology fresher put on the CV?
Your degree and college, the in-plant training or internship (plant, product line, what you checked or ran), lab skills (moisture, fat, acidity, microbiology), any FSSAI, HACCP or ISO 22000 course, and whether you can work shifts and relocate.
How do I apply?
Apply to an open role on this page, or submit your CV once at agrihires.com/submit-cv/food-processing. We read it and write to you when a food plant vacancy fits. Candidates never pay.
