Agronomist – Nursery & Landscape Operations

About the role

Farmwatt Innovations Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled and experienced Agronomist to manage nursery production, plant health, landscape development and maintenance. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of horticulture, plant propagation and scientific cultivation practices.

What you'll do

• Manage nursery operations, including seed sowing, propagation, transplanting and seedling production.
• Plan and execute landscape development, plantation, lawn development and garden maintenance.
• Monitor plant health, soil conditions, nutrient requirements and irrigation schedules.
• Identify and manage pests, diseases and nutrient deficiencies.
• Supervise pruning, trimming, weeding, lawn care and maintenance of landscaped areas.
• Manage nursery workers, gardeners and field staff.
• Maintain records of plant inventory, fertilizers, pesticides, production and operational costs.
• Ensure plant quality, minimize mortality, optimize resource utilization and submit regular reports to management.

Who should apply

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in nursery management, horticulture or landscaping.
• Practical knowledge of plant propagation, plantation planning, irrigation, plant nutrition and pest management.
• Experience in landscape development and maintenance is an added advantage.
• Strong team management, planning and problem-solving skills.
