About the role

ICAR-Indian Institute of Rice Research (ICAR-IIRR, formerly the Directorate of Rice Research), Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, invites applications under its CSIR-sponsored FTT/FTC project “Development of climate resilient and high yielding trait improved varieties of Swarna; a mega rice variety of India” (notification F. No. CSIR-FTT/2026/1, dated 15 October 2026). One post of Project Scientist (PS-III). The post is temporary, for one year at first, and may be extended on performance and the availability of funds. What you'll do

• Scientific work in the project “Development of climate resilient and high yielding trait improved varieties of Swarna; a mega rice variety of India”.
• Research and development towards climate-resilient, high-yielding, trait-improved versions of Swarna, one of India's mega rice varieties.

Who should apply

• Doctoral degree in Science, or Master's / Integrated Master's in Engineering or Technology, from a recognised university or equivalent.
• And 7 years' experience in research and development in industrial or academic institutions or science and technology organisations, and in scientific activities and services.
• Maximum age 45 years.
• No Objection Certificate from your present employer if you are working.
• Age relaxation: 5 years SC/ST, 3 years OBC, 10 years PH, as per CSIR / Government of India rules.
